Abstract
The Southern Dynasty followed and developed the culture in the Eastern Jin Dynasty. As people then preferred the general mood of idle talk, the Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism emphasized on different points and they struggled with each other, while mixing together which became the mainstream at that time and inflnenced scholars' ways of life and their literary sense. The yuandao of the scholars' literary sense hadn't caused identical style of literature writing. The feature of literary reality which it was after, was combined with the seeking of value disposition and variety, which had affected the varied prose styles in the Southern Dynasty and caused the styles of writing to merge together with disposition at the same time.
