Buddhism and Taoism of Folk Story in Tang and Wu Dai Dynasties

Buddhism, introduced to China from India at the end of Han Dynasty, spread abroad fast and attach itself to Taoism as well as influencing Taoism. In this process, Buddhism stories have been introduced into China and been adopted in Chinese story system since the South and North Dynasties (nan - bei chao) , especially in the Tang Dynasty, many Buddhism stories have been reconstructed. This article pay attention to the folk stories in the Tang Dynasty and focus on its influences from Buddhism.
