Abstract
Objective:To understand the characteristics of etiology of hand-foot-mouth disease(HFMD)in Wuhan, and provide laboratory data for the epidemic control and patient care.Method:Throat swab samples were collected from 332 HFMD cases, and EV71 and CA16 were detected by Real-time PCR.Result:Among 332 HFMD samples,33.1% were infected by EV71;83 patients were detected with CA16,the positive rate of CA16 was20.5%;2.4% were cases infected by both. The number of boys was larger than that of girls(P0.05).Conclusion:Children with HFMD infected mainly EV71,prevailing CA16 at the same time.
