Abstract
Steam injection is an effective way of enhancing heavy oil recovery factor, but it can cause problems such as high production cost and high water cut after several steam injection cycles. Aiming at these problems, this paper gives most of the cold heavy oil production technologies and their adaptive situations, including CHOPS (cold heavy oil production with sand), LF pulse oil production, wellbore chemical viscosity-reduction, chemical huff-and-puff, Vapex, alkali flooding, CO_2 injection and flue gas injection. The difficulties of producing undeveloped heavy oil reservoirs in Shengli Oilfield are analyzed. This paper also discusses the feasibility of CHOP in Shengli Oilfield and gives some suggestions.
