On Ou Yang-xiu's reconstruction of the learning of novel during Tang Dynasty

From Ban Gu's Han-Zhi which founded the learning of novel and established the little Tao as its academic core feature,to Sui-Zhi edited by people in Tang dynasty,the learing of novel has no changes all along in the theoretical level,although some literary features had appeared in the creative level.In Ou Yang-xiu's Chong-Wen-Zong-Mu and Xin-Tang-Zhi there were some sustaining efforts on putting partial mixed biographies to novels,which made the novel from an academic learning with non-fixed expressive style gradually transform into a narrative literary style with marked features.During the process of the concept of novel from the traditional to modern,Ou Yang-xiu played a key role.Because he introduced the written style of mixed biography to novel and established the independent literary style position of novel.
