Abstract
New historicism stresses the interaction between both texts and history.Literary texts may take part in the construction of history.Such New Historicist tenets provide new paradigm in the reading and interpretation of Mrs.Stowe's novel Uncle Tom's Cabin.The novel is full of realistic descriptions and passionate preaching,both working simultaneously to make the novel an exemplifying text for New Historicism.
