Abstract

Objective: To investigate the biological characteristics of rat bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs) transfected green fluorescent protein(GFP) gene by adenovirus vector.Methods: Rat bone marrow-derived MSCs were isolated by adherent culture method.Flow cytometric analyses were used to identify cells which were transfected by recombinant adenovirus-EGFP using lipofectamine2000.Results: Rat bone marrow-derived MSCs were successfully isolated and efficiently express EGFP report gene by adenovirus vectors transfection.Conclusion: Rat bone marrow-derived MSCs can be transfected by recombinant adenovirus-EGFP,which may potentially be used as a target for tissue engineering and gene therapy.
