Abstract

Using power system stabilizer (PSS) and static var compensator (SVC) can effectively restrain the oscillation. The math-ematical model of PSS and SVC was analyzed. Prony algorithm was adopted to find leading oscillation mode, then the system was modeled and simulated and coordination operation between SVC and PSS was researched. This method has good effect on improving the power system transient stability.
