Abstract
Objective To investigate the expression of RCAS1 in supernatant of bone marrow and of cultured bone marrow stromal cells from patients with aplastic anemia. Methods ELISA was used to determine the levels of RCAS1 in supernatant of bone marrow and of cultured bone marrow stromal cells from 17 patients with aplastic anemia and 18 healthy controls. Results ① In bone marrow supernatant, the RCAS1 expression was significantly stronger in aplastic anemia patients [(0.37±0.14)μg/L] than in normal controls [(0.09±0.11)μg/L](P0.05).②In bone marrow stromal cells supernatant, the RCAS1 expression was also stronger in anemia patients [(1.00±0.08)μg/L] than in normal controls [(0.81±0.05)μg/L](P0.05).Conclusion Expression of RCAS1 in supernatant of bone marrow and of bone marrow stromal cells was much higher in aplastic anemia than in normal controls.
