Abstract

[Objective] To investigate the clinical curative effect of simvastatin in the treatment of combined hyperlipidemia familial. [Methods] 56 patients with hyperlipidemia were instructed to take orally 20 mg simvastatin every day, 4 and 8 weeks later, blood fat parameters of these patients were detected for comparative analysis. [Results] At the end of 4 and 8 weeks after taking simvastatin successively, serum total cholesterol(TC) decreased for 24.54%, 24.39%(P 0.001), triglyceride(TG) decreased for 21.03%, 20.66%(P 0.01), low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C) decreased for 33.33%, 34.48% (P 0.001) and Apo-A1 increased for 14.50%, 19.85% (P 0.01), respectively. Consequently, simvastatin could lower TC, TG and LDL-C and raise Apo-A1 simultaneously. [Conclusions] Simvastatin is an ideal medicine in the treatment of combined hyperlipidemia familial on account of lowering serum total cholesterol(TC) and triglyceride(TG) effectively.
