Abstract
Objective To explore the ultrasound image characteristics of cavernous transformation of portal vein system. Methods Eleven cases with cavernous transformation of portal vein system were reviewed about the ultrasound image, all those were examined and proved by DSA. Results The ultrasound diagnostic rate is 100%. 2-D ultrasound showed network topology, CFI showed the network topology were filled with low speed vein blood flow. Conclusion Color Doppler ultrasonography demonstrates the anatomy and blood flow of portal vein system. It is convenient, noninvasive and cheap, and it is a better diagnostic method than the other radiology methods.
