Abstract
Objective To evaluate the value of color Doppler ultrasound in diagnosis of cavernous transformation of portal vein. Methods Color Doppler ultrasound and indirect portal vein angiography were performed simultaneously on 5 patients with cavernous transformation of portal vein. Results 5 cavernous transformation of portal vein were consistent with those of indirect portal vein angiography. Conclusion Our finding demonstrates that the color Doppler ultrasound is valuable in diagnosis of cavernous transformation of portal vein.
