A Study of the Professional Education in Huizhou Area During the Ming and Qing Dynasties

The overall flourishing of the Huizhou area during the Ming and Qing dynasties had resulted to a great extent from its successful professional education.Ideologically the Huizhou people established a sense of professional equality and did away with the traditional idea of valuing agriculture while despising trade.At the same time they made efforts to mold the professional moralities of various virtues among the clansmen.Also the Huizhou people wrote books to advocate their business experiences,helped their clansmen by cooperating with and hiring them,and passed on their production and management experiences to their descendants with family instructions and rules.
