Abstract
In salt(NaCl) stress treatments, the contents of MDA,soluble sugars, proline and soluble proteins and the activity of protein kinase in the leaves of pea seedlings rose at first, which was followed by a decline. The peak values appeared in the sequence of protein kinase, soluble sugars,MDA and proline.Salt stress inhibited the biosynthesis of proteins, thus decreasing their contents.
