Abstract
Objective To study the feasibility of CT angiography with high concentration and low dose contrast media of Iopromide. Methods Fifty patients with CT angiography of pulmonary artery were divided into 2 groups according to the dosage of contrast media as follows : Group A,300 mgI/ ml iopromide 80 ml and saline 20 ml;Group B,370 mgI/ ml iopromide 50 ml and saline 20 ml.The injected rate was 4 ml/s.The presentation of pulmonary artery and its branches in both groups were compared and the density of contrast media in artery was detected according to the primary and the maximum intensity projection(MIP) images. Results The pulmonary artery and its branches were well presented in both groups. The density of contrast media in artery and the presentation rate of pulmonary artery of group B was both significantly higher than that of group A with P0.05 in either group. Conclusions It is feasible to use high concentration and low dose iopromide in multislice CT pulmonary artery angiography.
