Abstract
Objective:To compare the two different therapeutic regimes in vulvovaginal candidiasis(VVC)for a better one.Methods:One hundred patients with vulvovaginal candidiasis were evenly allocated to the groups of ordinary therapy or consolidation treatment.The group of ordinary therapy received ①daily oral fluconazole capsule of 150 mg and additional equal dose within 72 h,and ②three consecutive days of vaginal miconazole at daily doseage of 400 mg(1 tablet).The patients in the consolidation treatment group were given ①initial therapy by daily oral fluconazole capsule of 150 mg with equivalent extra dose in 72 h and six consecutive days of vaginal miconazole at daily dose of 400 mg(1 tablet),and ②further treatment by vaginal miconazole at daily dosage of 400 mg(1 tablet),with 3 consecutive days one week before the monthly period and repetition of the medication for 3 months.Results:Sixteen recurrent cases were found in the group of ordinary therapy,but only 5 in the cases undergone the further treatment.Conclusion:The further medication is necessary for the patients suffered from vulvovaginal candidiasis.The prolonged treatment cycle should be recommended for those of vaginal clean degree overⅡ°.
