Empirical Analysis of Factors Affecting Farmers Income in Guangxi

After analyzing the current situation of farmers income in Guangxi based on statistics,it was pointed out that income gap existed between Guangxi farmers and farmers across the country as well as Guangxi urban and rural residents.Using OLS method,various factors affecting the income of the farmers in Guangxi were identified.According to the regression results,contribution rate of each factor was calculated.The results showed that the wage income accounted for the largest contribution.The sequence of contribution rate was next: the price of agricultural products,agricultural production income,and unit yield of grain crops.Finally,several policies and suggestions were put forward in a bid to increase farmers' income.
