Abstract
Objective To investigate the relationship between the degree of liver damage and the level of serum HBV DNA in patients with chronic hepatitis B(CHB).Methods Using quantitative PCR and ELISA to detect serum HBV DNA and HBV marker in 116 patients with CHB respectively. Results The level of serum of HBV DNA was markedly higher in HBeAg positive group than in HBeAg negative group(P0.05),and was the highest in slight CHB group, the lowest in severe CHB(P0.05).Conclusion The level of serum HBV DNA verified HBeAg is the marker of HBV replication.Along with aggravation of liver damage, the level of serum HBV DNA decreases.Quantitative detection of serum HBV DNA is useful in assessment of liver damage and guidance in antivirus therapy.
