Research Progress of Relation between Telomere Telomerase and Ageing

Telomere is a kind of compound of a part of special DNA and protein in linear chromosome's end. Because the end doesn't copy and the normal somatic cells gradually loss telomeres sequence with cell division, so it results in senescence and death of cells. Telomerase is a kind of special DNA polymerase maintaining telomeres length and play an important role in proliferation, senescence and eternal life of cells. This paper summarized the relation between telomere, telomerase and aging.
