Research on the Dynamic Relationship between the Higher Education Development and Economic Growth in Guangxi——An Empirical Test Based on VAR Model

Abstract

This article applies the VAR model to analyze the dynamic relationship between the higher education development and economic growth of Guangxi.The results show that economic growth is the Granger cause of higher education development,and higher education development is not the Granger cause of economic growth.From the long term,there is equilibrium and bidirectional promoting effect relationship between them.However,higher education development contributes more to economic growth than economic growth to higher education development.Therefore government should adopt relevant measures for the coordination and sustainable development of higher education and economic growth.
