Several Issues about Economic Development of Eastern Border Region in Northeast China

Though the border region of eastern part in northeast China is economically weak,it has uniqueness in geographical location,resources and foreign cooperation. The social and economic development in the region relate to the overall development of northeast China and the strategic position of northeast China in the economic cooperation in Northeast Asia. Furthermore,it relates to the regional geopolitical stability and sustainable development. In this paper,the economic framework of the area,including the localization of functional areas,the construction of traffic economic belt,the port economy,and the development of county characteristic industry,opening-up and cooperation,and sub-regional economic cooperation is analyzed so as to seek some economic development ideas suitable for this area.
