Abstract
Objective:To explore the clinical significance of CA242 and CEA in lung cancer diagnosis, prognosis and estimation of surgical effect. Methods:Using enzyme linded immunosorbent assay(ELISA),the serum levels of CEA and CA242 in patients with lung cancer, benign disease and in normal control were determinated respectively.Results:①Serum concentrations of CA242 and CEA were significantly higher in patients with lung cancer than in patients with benign disease and normal control;②Within patients with lung cancer, serum concentration of CA242 and CEA were higher in stage Ⅲ than in stagen Ⅰ and stage Ⅱ,and higher in adenocarcinoma than in squamous cancer;③The use of CEA and CA242 in combination increased the sensitivity of lung cancer diagnosis;④The preoperative and postoperative levels of serum CA242 and CEA were significantly different.Conclusion:①CA242 and CEA can be used in diagnosis of lung cancer, the expressions of two markers are positively correlated with P TNM stage;②The two tumor markers are best expressed in adenocarcinoma;③Combination of CA242 and CEA can increase sensitivity of measurement;④Postoperative serum concentrations of CEA and CA242 reduces obviously, this testifies that the expression of the two markers is correlated with tumor burden,so it can imply the surgical effect and prognosis.
