George Eliot was one of the most famous British novelists of the 19th century Religion has been a main concern in her literary works.This paper seeks the cause of religion of humanity from 3 aspects:social and cultural situation in Victorian Times,social psychology in Victorian Times,religious life thoughts,and experience of George Eliot.
