Abstract

Objective To observe the clinical effect and impact factors of recombinant interferon α-2b on treatment of chronic hepatitis B.Methods74 patients with chronic hepatitis B were divided into two groups randomly.36 cases in the treated group were treated with interferon.38 cases in the control group were treated with injection contains drugs of protecting-liver.Observe the HBV-DNA level and the HBV markers.ResultsThere was no significant difference of the ALT recovery rate in both groups during treatment(P0.05).The HBV DNA,HBeAg and HBsAg negativity rates in the treated group were higher(P0.01) at the end of 6 months after the treatment than in the control group, there was significant statistically difference between the two groups. The HBV-DNA-turned-to-negative rate was 70% in those patients with serum HBV-DNA levels lower than 1×106 copies or with pretreatment serum ALT levels between 5 ULN and 10 ULN before the treatment showed that better response to IFN than the other patients 30.8%(P0.01).The side-effects of Interferon α-2b were fever(31 cases,86.1%),influenza-like symptoms(22 cases,61.1%) and leucopenia(32 cases,88.9%).Those side-effects could recovery quickly without special treatment.ConclusionInterferon is an effective drug in the treatment of chronic hepatitis B.Both serum HBV-DNA levels and serum ALT levels before the treatment influence the treatment of interferon.
