Abstract
The seaweed polysaccharide was extracted by ethanol and preliminary purified. The inhibitory activity of α-amylase was determined in the condition of PNPG as substrate. The results show that the extraction rate was 6.0%. The inhibition rate of seaweed polysaccharide and protein removed polysaccharide were 60.5% and 41.35%, respectively, when polysaccharide concentration was 12 mg/mL, hypoglycemic mechanism of seaweed polysaccharide was replenished. The inhibition rate of seaweed polysaccharide and protein removed polysaccharide IC50 were 2.240 mg/mL and 2.630 mg/mL, the former than the latter, indicated that glycoprotein and polysaccharides had synergistic effect on the hypoglycemic activity.
