Abstract
The callus were inducted on MS medium with leaves, petioles, dormant buds, apical buds, stems as explants respectively. The results indicated that the leaves, stems of test-tube plant is the best among explants mentioned above. The induction rates of callus from leaves and stems of test-tube plants and of old plants were 100%, 95% respectively, with the former being obviously better than the latter, but the rates of callus from petiole carried no significance for either, it is 10%. However, there were no callus induction from such explants as dormant bud and apical bud.
