Abstract
A mathematical model for predicting storage life of HTPB propellants by the elongation retention value was established.Compared with the two conventional models(exponential formula and logarithmic formula),the model is of augmentability.Through correlation check for regressive results of two HTPB propellant formula aging test data, some parameter values were obtained.Confidence probability R is more than 0.975.Standard dispersion R_std is less than 0.008,and confidence probability P is more than 99%. The predicted storage life is close to actual value.Since most of the HTPB propellants possess similar aging mechanism, this model can be used to predict storage life of all HTPB propellants.
