The relationship between cholinesterase APACHEIII and the prognosis of patients with septic shock

Objective To explore the relationship between cholinesterase( CHE) APACHEⅢ and the prognosis of patients with septic shock( SS). Methods Firstly,the patients were divided into survival group and death group according to the prognosis,the concentration of serum CHE and APACHEⅢ levels were compared between the two groups. Secondly,the patients were divided into five groups according to the APACHEⅢ level,the concentration of serum CHE and mortality were compared among the five groups. Finally,the multiple regression analysis were used to explore the relationship between CHE APACHEⅢ and the prognosis of SS patients. Results ①The concentration of serum CHE in the survival group was significantly higher than that in the death group,but the APACHEⅢ value in the survival group was significantly lower than that in the death group; ②As the increase of the value of APACHEⅢ,the concentration of CHE decreased gradually,but the mortality increased gradually; there were significant differences in the concentration CHE and mortality among the five groups; ③The concentration of CHE and the prognosis with negative correlation,but the value of APACHEⅢ and the prognosis with positive correlation according to the multiple regression analysis. Conclusion As the decrease of the concentration of CHE and the increase of the value of APACHEⅢ,the SS patients get a poor prognosis.
