A Study of Tao Yuan-ming′s View on Life

Tao Yuan-ming is a first-class poet whose famous poems are greatly appreciated by people.Not only have the Chinese focused their attention on the study of his literary works but also some foreigners.The Koreans have made unremitting and profound researches on his works and produced some research works,so it's clear that Tao Yuan-ming' poetry bears universal connotations and value for all men,but few studies have been made on his view of life and the idea of freedom.The analysis of his works in the paper demonstrates that Tao Yuan-ming holds such views as 'cherish life','Enjoy the pleasures of life here and now','take pleasures in doing good' and 'pursue free life',etc.'Freedom' —the core of his view on life is also explored here.
