Abstract

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the utilization of antithrombotic drugs in senile wards of our hospital during 2007~2008 and evaluate its rationality in order to offer reference for clinical rational drug use.METHODS: The consumption sum, defined daily dose(DDD_S) and the average daily cost(DDC) of antithrombotic drugs were analyzed statistically.Prescription Automatic Screening System(PASS) was employed to monitor the drug interactions of aspirin.RESULTS: In senile wards of our hospital during 2007~2008,the DDDs and consumption sum of the antiplatelet drugs were generally higher as compared with anticogaulant drugs, leading the list of annual DDDs was 75 mg Clopidogrel, moreover,it ranked at the first place in terms of consumption sum among all the antithrombotic tablets. The DDDs of 100 mg aspirin was higher than that of 25 mg aspirin, but the DDC of 25mg aspirin was the lowest.Drug interactions of aspirin could still be seen in its clinical use.CONCLUSION: The utilization of antithrombotic drugs in senile wards of our hospital is rational on the whole and develops in a direction of good efficacy, few side effects and convenient application, but the application of which remains to be standardized further.
