Abstract
Tumor angiogenesis promotes continuous growth and metastasis of tumor.Vascular endothelial growth factors(VEGF) are the most specific and crucial regulators of angiogenesis.By binding with VEGF receptors,VEGF stimulate the proliferation and metastasis of vascular endothelial cells,play a key role in the new vessels.VEGF and its receptors are correlated with the genesis and growth,invasion and prognosis in colorectal cancer liver metastases,are possible to be a good therapeutic target for the prevention of colorectal cancer liver metastasis.This article reviews the research advancement of VEGF in colorectal cancer liver metastases.
