The chromosome analysis of 720 cases of genetic counselors in Xinjiang

Abstract

Objective:To investigate the relationship between reproductive abnormalities and chromosome abnormalities.Methods:The chromosomes were obtained by culturing peripheral blood lymph cells collected from 720 cases for genetic counseling.Results:147 out of 720 cases had karyotype aberration.The rate of abnormality is 20.4%.Conclusion:Chromosome abnormalities are the important factors resulting in mental retardation,miscarriage,dead fetus,abnormal growth and sexual development abnormality.We advocate that should try to do chromosome investigation for those patient.
