Abstract

Objective: Microencapsulation of clove oil,and to inspect the conditions of formation and curing.Methods: Clove oil as a microencapsulated core,gum arabic and gelatin as the capsule material,using a complex coacervation method to product the clove oil microcapsules.Investigated temperature,pH value,gum arabic and gelatin ratio of generated microcapsules.Investigated the amount of coagulator,stirring speed and stirring time on curing.To microcapsules appearance of the shape,size and uniformity as the indexes.Result: At temperatures below 35℃,pH values lower than 3.5,the wall material condensed excessive;at the conditions of the temperature was higher than 45℃ and the pH value was greater than 4.5,the wall material cannot be condensed.Conclusion: At the 40℃,the ratio of gum arabic and gelatin is 1:1,pH value was 4.3,the microcapsules had the best generated condition;at the curing agent was 2mL/g,the stirring speed was 900n/min,curing time was 90min,the degree of curing of the microcapsules were better.
