Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the clinical value of diagnosis of abdominal and transvaginal color Doppler ultrasound to ectopic pregnancy. Methods: Data of 297 clinical diagnosed or pathological confirmed ectopic pregnancy cases were retrospectively analyzed.Diagnosis accuracy of transvaginal ultrasound(TVS) and abdominal ultrasound(TAS) performed on these patients were observed and compared. Results: TVS shows 287 cases of ectopic pregnancy with diagnostic accuracy of 96.63%;TAS revealed 204 cases, the diagnostic accuracy was 69.69%.TAS revealed three cases that TVS failed to show. Conclusions:TVS was better than TAS for detection of ectopic pregnancy especially for early stage of ectopic pregnancy. But TAS was better for revealing ectopic pregnancy mass on the higher location. Therefore, the combination of the two can raise the diagnosis accuracy.
