Abstract
1,4-Bis-(4-chlorobenzoyl) benzene was synthesized with terephthaloyl chloride and chlorob- enzene (or bromobenzene),and aluminum chloride as catalyst. 1,4-Bis-(4-chlorobenzoyl)benzene was purified through modified method with a yield 96%. The strcture was characterized by means of 1H NMR and DSC spectroscopy. The results showed an agreement with the proposed structure.
