A Study of the Source and Structure of Chinese Modern Philosophy

Abstract

Chinese modern philosophy makes up an important part in the study of Chinese philosophy as a whole. The doctrines of scholars in the pre-Qin days are the root of Chinese modern philosophy. Important issues in the study of modern philosophy include the following: 30 years study of history of philosophy before the founding of P. R. China, the guiding role of Marxist philosophy after the founding of P. R. China, and reasons for the history of Chinese modern philosophy still to be understood. When studying the relation between Chinese modern and foreign philosophy, one should take an unbiased attitude to examine the facts carefully and expound one's idea in light of the situation.
