Clinical effect observation of treating lumbar intervertebral disc protrusion with TCM acupuncture

Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of acupuncture in treating lumbar disc herniation. Methods180 cases of lumbar disc herniation were randomly divided into observation group and control group,90 cases in each group.The control group was treated with traction therapy,the observation group was treated by acupuncture,and the clinical effect of the 2 groups were compared. Results The total efficiency of observation group was 97. 78%,significantly higher than the control group 83. 33%,the difference was statistically significant( P 0. 05). The observation group of the lumbosacral pain score and pain score was significantly lower than that of the control group,the improvement of straight leg raising angle is better than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant( P 0. 05). Conclusion The clinical effect of acupuncture therapy in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation is good,can effectively relieve pain,improve the quality of life of patients,is worthy of clinical application.
