Abstract

Acrylamide (AM) and dimethyl dially ammonium chloride (DMDAAC) were used as monomers to synthesize cation-polyacrylamide (CPAM) by photo-initiation method. The photo initiator was potassium persulfate. Structure analysis of the product with infrared spectrum confirmed the feasibility of this method. The optimum experimental conditions were researched by orthogonal tests. Controlling reaction condition,The intrinsic viscosity number of CPAM was up to 1.31×103 mL/g,solid content was 21.9%,and cation degree was 18.0%.
