Abstract
The materials concerning Yin-yang and Five Elements theory in Wen Xin Diao Long show Liu Xie's identity with Yin-yang and Five Elements theory which was popular in the Qin and Han Dynasties.As the basic framework of traditional culture and traditional thinking mode,Yin-yang and Five Elements theory had much influence on Liu Xie's literary views such as literary development view,Fenggu theory,Wugan theory and Lici views,which should be paid much attention to by researchers on Wen Xin Diao Long.
