Abstract
This paper introduces an embeded network monitoring system project based on S3C2410. The system uses embedded Linux as operating system,adopts special MPEG-4 encoder chip MPG440 to compress the sampling digital video signals, then produces MPEG-4 stream. MPEG-4 stream is sent to PC through the network controlling chip controlled by S3C2410, and PC terminal plays the live video and controls the camera's status through IE browser embedded in MPEG-4 widget.
