Questions and Suggestions on Water Resources in Huaihe River Basin

With social and economic development in Huaihe River Basin,water security will face great pressure and challenges.Based on the investigation,we reviewed achievements of water resources engineering system construction in Huaihe River Basin,analyzed the current situation and existing problems of water resources.Concerning with water resources allocation and management in the whole basin,some suggestions present here,increasing flood resources and recycled water utilization,building and expanding water storage projects and interbasin-interregional diversion projects,developing real-time water resources and water environment management system,adopting regional water total consumption control system,further strengthening the study of key techniques in the field of water resources and water environment.Thus it can provide support and guarantee for eco-social rapid development in Huaihe River Basin.
