Abstract

OBJECTIVE To observe the efficacy of levofloxacin in treatment of community-acquired pneumonia both in the adminstration of intravenous drip and orl sequential therapy.METHODS 81 patients with community-acquired pneumonia, first in treatment with levofloxacin 0.2g each time,iv.gtt, bid;when the symptoms improved, then divided into two groups:the treatment group and controlled group.48 cases in treatment group, were switched levofloxacin 0.1g each,o.p,bid, course was 4~7d;the other 33 cases were cotrolled group, the original theapic method was continued, and course was 3~6d.RESULTS The efficacy of the two groups have no significant differences(P0.05),CONCLUSION Levofloxacin in both adminstration of intravenous drip and oral sequential therapy to therapy community-acquired pneumonia were as effectively as intravenous drip allover the course.
