Abstract
【Objective】To investigate the relationship between blood pressure variability and aortic pulse wave velocity in patients with essential hypertension.【Methods】A total of 111 patients with essential hypertension and 30 healthy subjects(as normal control group) were enrolled in this study.Ambulatory blood pressure monitoring and aortic pulse wave velocity(PWV) were examined.【Results】1.PWV in essential hypertensive group was significantly higher than that in normal groups(P0.01).2.24h SBP-SD,DBP-SD and MBPS in PWV abnormal group were significantly higher than those in PWV normal group(P0.05 or P0.01).3.Pearson correlation analysis showed that 24hSBP-SD,DBP-SD and MBPS were significantly related to PWV.4.Multiple linear regression showed that age,24hSBP and MBPS were significant and independent factors for PWV in hypertension patients.【Conclusion】1.PWV in patients with essential hypertension is higher than that in healthy subjects.2.24hSBP-SD,DBP-SD and MBPS were significantly related to PWV,and MBPS was significant and independent factors for PWV in hypertensive patients.
