Abstract
The distribution characteristics of raw wind speed were analyzed in terms of the actual measured average wind speed data at ten meters height in 2004 in Xini'er reservoir by using the principle of minimum error approximation algorithm. The results show that in study area the main wind direction is north east(NNE),accounting for 17.6% of all year;annual and seasonal wind speed changes are in line with Weibull distribution;the scale parameter c and shape parameter k are calculated and wind speed distribution are simulated. The results provide a basis for analyzing local wind energy resource development.
