Abstract

Objective To evaluate the diagnostic value of ultrasonography and molybdenum mammography for breast nodule. Methods A total of 145 beast nodules in 83 patients were examined with ultrasonography and molybdenum mammography. The results of both methods were compared with pathology. Results Of all nodules 140 lesions were benign lesions and other 5 lesions were malignant nodules. All of 145 nodules were detected clearly with ultrasonography, but only 41 nodules were presented with molybdenum mammography. On mammograms,51 cases was found calcifications in the inside or surrounding of the lesions,of which 12 cases pretented as silt-form and hinted at malignancy. On ultrasonography, only 3 cases of breast carcinoma can be found calcifications. Conclusion Combining ultrasonography and molybdenum mammography can improve the rate of diagnosis in breast nodule.
