Abstract
Objective:To explore the relationship and change between the cell proliferation and apoptosis in normal testicular tissue and testicular infertility. Methods:The cell proliferation index(PI) was detected with SP immunohistochemistry, the cell apoptosis index(AI) was determined with Tunnel technology. Results:PI of testicular infertility was significantly lower than that of normal testicular tissue(P0.01),AI in normal testicular tissue was higher than that of testicular infertility(P0.01),there was a negative correlation between PI and AI(r=-0.413,P0.01).Conclusions:The disequilibrium of cell proliferation and apoptosis may be associated with the pathogenesis and development of testicular infertility, lower PI and higher AI may indicate unfavourable prognosis for testicular infertility.
