Abstract

Objective:To investigate the occurrence of depression and its affecting factor in inpatients with coronary artery disease(CAD).Methods:Using Beck depression index assessed depression in CAD patients before discharge.According Beck depression index assessed, the score≤4 mean no depression, the score 5~13 mean mild depression, the score 14~20 mean moderate depression, the score ≥21 mean severe depression. Results:In 232 CAD patients the cases without depression accounted for 28.02%,with mild depression was 41.81%,moderate depression was 20.26%,and severe depression was 9.91%.The depression rate between mild age group and old group and among every education groups had no significant difference(P0.05).Conclusion:The in-patients with CAD of about 70% have depression, depression is not related with age and education level.
