Abstract
The internal flow status of the elbow-shaped inlet duct of large-sized pumping station is qualitatively analyzed through three-dimensional turbulent simulation. The uniformity of axial velocity distribution, the flow deflection angle at the outlet of the inlet duct, and the head loss of the inlet duct are also quantitatively calculated. The hydraulic characteristics of the elbow-shaped inlet duct are forecasted to provide reference for the hydraulic design optimization and model test of the inlet duct, and to save the time and cost of the model test.
