Abstract
Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of combined spinal epidural anesthesia( CSEA) and epidural anesthesia( EA) for elective cesarean patients in highland areas. Methods Seventy- nine patients with elective cesarean were randomly divided into control group( n = 40) and treatment group( n = 39). The control group with continuous epidural anesthesia was injected of 1. 73% lidocaine carbonate 3- 5 mL for test dose, additional 1. 73% lidocaine carbonate10- 15 mL. The treatment group with combined spinal epidural anesthesia was injected of 7. 5 mg bupivacaine, keep injection rate of 0. 3mL ·s~(-1). After operation, the anesthetic effect, the waiting time for operation, the onset time of anesthesia,1,5,10 min Apgar score of neonate, blood loss and the occurrence of adverse durg reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The anesthetic effect of treatment group was a little better than control group with no significance( P 0. 05). The waiting time for operation and the onset time of anesthesia in treatment group were significantly less than that of control group( P 0. 05). The Apgar score and the occurrence of adverse reactions have no significant difference in the two groups( P 0. 05).Conclusion CSEA is safely and effectively when applied in elective cesarean live in highland areas. CSEA can shorten operational waitingtime and anesthesia onset time in comparison with epidural anesthesia.
