Abstract
With active flux of mixer of CaF2 and MgF2,microstructure and performance of TA15 titanium alloy A-TIG welding joint have been analyzed and compared with conventional TIG welding. The results show that the number of pore can be decreased effectively, and joint tensile property and bend property can be enhanced by A-TIG welding. HAZ of is narrower and its microstructure is finer compared with TIG welding, while their microstructures of weld zone are almost the same. The active flux doesn't decrease the corrosion resistant property of joint. In a word, A-TIG welding is superior to conventional TIG welding for TA15 titanium alloy.
